Our Approach to Ruqya Treatment
Our method is based on the authentic Sunnah, as we simply recite verses from the Noble Qur'an on the patient. If there is anything supernatural afflicting the person, it becomes evident to those present, with the permission of Allah SWT. We then prescribe the most appropriate way forward to help address the problem.
Our Position on Taweez, Amulets and Charms
We are strictly against the use of Taweez, amulets or charms. If anything, we usually ask the patient to gather any amulets they have so that we can open them in front of the owners and expose the fitnah (tribulation) these amulets and Taweez create.
The Importance of Faith and Medical Assessment
In our experience, the people who are cured most efficiently are those whose Aqeedah (Islamic Creed) is correct and who have a firm understanding of Tawheed (Oneness of God). They are the people who not only have complete Tawakkul in Allah (trust and reliance upon their Lord), but also implement the religion to the best of their ability and are wary of committing sins.
We also enquire whether the patient has already seen a doctor or specialist regarding their problem and whether they have had the relevant tests or scans carried out. We do encounter cases which may seem supernatural on the surface but have, in fact, a logical explanation or medical cause. Such patients are encouraged to seek further help from the appropriate field, whether medical, psychiatric or another appropriate form of intervention.
